Doctors at the Philippine College of Physician who registered their tablets were the first to try the RiteMED mobile application. The app was a quick download to their devices, and this immediately gave them the lowdown on how it operates, the contents, and its benefits.

With RiteMED being the most trusted name in generic drugs, more and more patients are asking for its version of the medicines and other health products that they need. “This inspired the brand to create a mobile application that is also in line with its campaign ‘Wag mahiyang mag tanong sa doktor kung may RiteMED’,” says RiteMED Product Associate Bea Armada.



The application, available for all Android users, not only provides a list of RiteMED products, it also gives an accurate price comparison with branded medicines. Other useful features of the app include a list of illnesses with a matching RiteMED Medicine, along with information on the specific drug; videos that highlight RiteMED’s Advocacies; and price updates on products, which works when the app is updated through the (Google Play). Though updates can only be accessed with an internet connection, other contents of the mobile app function even when offline, making it very convenient for everyone, everywhere. “The RiteMED mobile app easily brings helpful health and drug information right to your fingertips,” says Armada.

It was and awareness for me the difference and risk of hyperglycemia.

The International Diabetes Foundation has reported that the Philippines has been named as one the world's emerging diabetes hotspot having treated 3.2 million cases in 2014 alone.

In its simplest terms, diabetes is a lifelong chronic condition that affects the body's ability to use the energy found in food. For non-diabetics, the sugar and carbohydrates in the food are transformed into glucose, which the cells absorb in the bloodstream with the help of a hormone called insulin. Diabetics do not produce or do not have enough insulin in the body and therefore cannot absorb the glucose, which creates a build-up in the blood and often leads to more serious illnesses.

As this is seen as a very serious disease, there is a mindset that people living with diabetes lead very restricted lives. This is a misconception that Gary Valenciano is very familiar with, but this has not discouraged him from becoming the success that he is.

Gary was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was just fourteen years old and was told by his doctors that he would not live past the age of forty. Thirty-seven years after his diagnosis and more than 90,000 insulin injections later, Gary has never been more active in both his personal and professional life.  The artist, performer, athlete and family man's strong resolve to constantly defeat the disease comes after his worst hypoglycemic attack in 2005, which almost claimed his life.  Ten years after that fateful event, he is now complication free and has been called a living miracle by many doctors.

How does he do it? His outlook is one of great resolve. "I'm living a life with diabetes but I won't let it stop me", he has said in a 2009 interview with Ces Drilon.  He believes that with proper management of the disease, it allows him to live a rich, dynamic life. This multi-awarded performer shares that religiously doing exercise, careful observation of his blood sugar, taking the right medication and having a proper diet helps him in his miraculous journey in dealing with diabetes.

A diet that includes DiabetaMil is one that he lives by. This reduced calorie, sugar-free Cereal and Non-Cereal drink contain vitamins, minerals and protein specially formulated for people with diabetes. Freshly harvested Kalamansi from our garden. My husband showed me how to keep kalamansi fresh and not be easily rotten.

He told me that in Japan if they harvest the Kalamansi they also include a portion of the stem and then try to cut it into a size that is just suitable to fruit when placed in a basket or tray. He told me not to pull off the whole stem because the fruit will have an opening which lose it's freshness.

Amazing Thermomix

Last May 17 The Mommy bloggers were invited for a cooking demo at Thermomix office. The event was so wonderful and we enjoyed the food they served and the wonderful product they used to prepare the lunch.
