Latest Innovation From Healthway

99% of Filipinos suffer from food intolerance
Healthway Medical introduces FIT, a test to detect food intolerance

Reactions to certain foods are quite common.  However, some reactions go unnoticed until certain abnormal manifestations occur – internally (physiological) or externally (physical, i.e. on skin).Where food ALLERGY has almost an immediate reaction, food INTOLERANCE, on the other hand, does not immediately manifest. Sometimes, it takes as much several months or as short as days for symptoms to be obvious.
According to Nutrition and Lifestyle Counselor Ginny Sinense-Marksl, RND, food intolerance often occurs in people who eat normal or even very common food substance (rice, egg, dairy, wheat) that they are highly sensitive to. These foods cause inflammations in their body that could manifest as allergy-like reactions such as diarrhea, bloating, stomach cramps and at times, skin rashes that almost never seem to subside. Also, it could be one of the major reasons why it is difficult to manage any weight problem.
Food intolerance may involve some or all the same symptoms as food allergies. “While food allergies are acute reactions to a particular food substance and can cause life-threatening symptoms, food intolerance is chronic and less severe but, nevertheless aggravating to optimum health,” said Marksl.
A number of reactions surface when a person is found to be intolerant on a specific food item. However, some people could still eat small amounts of food they are “intolerant” to without any immediate physiological or physical reaction.
Though minimum to no immediate reaction occurs, chronic exposure to a food substance a person is intolerant to can be potentially hazardous to health due to constant presence of inflammation in the body as Marksl further explained.
Food Intolerance is a type III food item that occurs when the body produces Immunoglobulin (IgG) as a reaction to allergenic food.
Immunoglobulin are a class of proteins that function as antibodies produced by the immune system in response to foreign bodies that enter the body. Various studies reveal that if food with high IgG levels are eliminated from the diet, symptoms can be reduced.
“Not knowing where you’re intolerant to could lead to chronic diseases such as abdominal bloating and fluid retention, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, and asthma,” said Carmie De Leon, vice president for sales and marketing of Healthway Medical. “This makes a Food Intolerance Test all the more important.”
Healthway Medical, the most trusted and preferred mall-based clinics in the Philippines, recommends every children and adult alike to undergo a Food Intolerance Test (FIT) or Food Print Test to identify which food groups are safe to eat.
FIT is the most advanced and comprehensive laboratory service that detects the presence of igG-food specific antibodies to a wide range of food people consume every day.
Healthway’s FIT is inclusive of a consultation with nutritionist to guide you through the FIT service and to explain the findings of the test.
“Not having your test now can be potentially dangerous since some people have high IgG levels but do not experience the symptoms,” De Leon said. “There are others who even feel better short after they eat food at which they are intolerant to, but continuing to take these food groups may re-grow the symptoms to much worse cases. Still, once symptoms occur, it is recommended to avoid all other members of that food group unless tested negatively.”
De Leon concluded, “Early detection of food intolerance will go a long way in ensuring one’s optimum health. If you want to achieve a quality life, make sure to add sleep, right food intake, exercise, and de-stressing as part of your daily routine. When you start living a healthy life, everything else will follow.”
If you think you have the symptoms of food intolerance, visit Healthway Medical Clinics at the Alabang Town Center, Edsa Shangri-la, Market! Market!, Festival Mall, Healthway Manila, SM The Block and Greenbelt 5.

Four years of lifecoaching is part of my ministry in our Church CCF. We where trained by Dr. Randy PBB in-house counselor to be used in the GH Glorious Hope Recovery Program.

This ministry opened my eyes to
look at people in a different angle. It helped me developed my listening skills at the same time knowledge on how to throw follow-up questions that will make a person open up with issues in life.

It is also challenging listening to 11 or more person in a group with different problems. But with the Lord's wisdom i was able to process people.

Beautiful Ladies of Table 15 2015 Gh run

People see LifeCoaches as strong
person without any problem and can handle everything. But they are not aware of the things happening our lives.
We are also normal people that has problems. We need people to talk to and express our feelings. That's the most challenging thing for us becuse we are all the same.

It is an accomplishment whenever we see people who have gone through the Gh run and was able to recover from certain issues.

Aside from lifecoaching i'm also part of the GH music team and a choir
conductor which made me use my God given talent.

Say No to Ngilo

GSK Fights to Stop Teeth Sensitivity with “Great Little Moments” Campaign and new Mouthwash Launch:
Say No to Ngilo

Sensodyne, the #1 sensitivity toothpaste in the Philippines, and recommended by dentists, affirmed its commitment to create a future where every Filipino is sensitivity-free with the “Say No to Ngilo” advocacy.

Sensodyne initiates the "Great Little Moments" campaign. This campaign encourages consumers to enjoy their “Great Little Moments” like they used to now that they are free from sensitivity.

To complement its dental care line and help promote the expert sensitivity regimen, Sensodyne now introduces its new mouthwash that gives not only the benefits of your regular mouthwash but also pangingilo relief.

Manila, June 5, 2015 --- For 9 out of 10 Filipinos who suffer from sensitive teeth or pangingilo, “sensitive” is a bit of an understatement to describe the delicate condition of their teeth.

Characterized by a short, sharp, shooting pain, which many sensitivity/pangingilo sufferers often choose to just endure, the discomfort caused by sensitive teeth may only last for a short period, but the emotional effects of missing out on those precious moments with your loved ones over food and drinks has a far longer impact.

“Having sensitive teeth can mean anything from getting a mild twinge to having severe discomfort that can last for several hours. It can also be an early warning sign of more serious dental problems.” said Dr. Rannier Reyes of the Philippine Periodontal Society.

Sensitive teeth occurs when the layer of enamel becomes thin and exposes the softer dentine underneath. This soft layer makes up the inner part of the tooth leading to the tooth’s nerve center and triggers the pain you feel.

Other things that can cause sensitive teeth are:

Brushing too hard or using a hard bristled toothbrush

Teeth grinding

Gingivitis (gum disease)

Receding Gums

Last year, GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Sensodyne, the #1 sensitivity toothpaste in the Philippines which is also recommended by dentists, spearheaded the “Say No to Ngilo” advocacy where dentists, consumers and Sensodyne came together to enjoin everyone to heed the call to take action to no longer endure the discomfort of pangingilo.

In 2015, GSK and Sensodyne takes the advocacy a notch higher with the launch of “Great Little Moments” digital campaign which encourages Filipinos not only to “Say No to Ngilo,” but also share their experiences after converting to Sensodyne and how they are able to fully enjoy their great little moments sensitivity-free.

“With the start of the summer season, everyone is now looking for someplace or something cool, be it at the beach, the pool or even just a quick respite from the heat with some cold drinks or a cone of ice cream, but if you have sensitive teeth, enjoying those cold treats can be a bit tricky,” says Heather Pelier, Incoming Consumer Healthcare General Manager, GSK Philippines.

“But it’s more than just missing out on food. When you choose to just endure the pain, you do it at the expense of fully enjoying experiences and social occasions that go along with it, making you miss out on those great little moments with your loved ones,” Pelier added.

The digital campaign encourages consumers to share their “Great Little Moments” in the Sensodyne Philippines website (www.sensodyne.com.ph) by uploading a photo of a moment (eg. sipping hot chocolate, eating halo-halo, etc.) they can now fully enjoy because they are pangingilo-free. Winners of the contest will win a trip for two to South Korea.

“For those who have sensitive teeth like me, I know you’d agree that it is not something you can just ignore. Sensitive teeth can ruin the mood of any romantic date, or stop you from enjoying those unforgettable moments with your loved ones,” Sensodyne brand ambassador, Luis Manzano shares.

Heather Pelier adds, “Our message is simple, there is no need for sensitivity to impact anyone’s life. Making a simple change to one’s oral care regimen will make a real difference. Now that Sensodyne has reached out to more Filipinos who used to just endure the pain, we want to encourage them to tell their stories now that they can enjoy their favorite food and drinks and fully enjoy the eating moments with their family and friends without fear of pangingilo.”

Fresher breath with Sensodyne Mouthwash

With the launch of the new campaign, GSK is introducing the new Sensodyne Mouthwash to complement its toothpaste and complete its expert sensitivity regimen to help consumers put an end to teeth sensitivity.

Sensodyne Mouthwash has all the benefits of a regular mouthwash like providing lasting freshening effect, and fluoride to strengthen teeth and protect against decay. It’s alcohol-free plus it gives pangingilo relief. It has two variants (Cool Mint and Extra Fresh 250mL) at Php165 SRP. The mouthwash is distributed in major supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.

“We highly recommend that you use the Sensodyne mouthwash together with the Sensodyne toothpaste to give clinically proven relief and daily protection for pangingilo,” says Pelier.

So, if you have pangingilo, switching to Sensodyne to replace your regular toothpaste and mouthwash can make a big difference not only in your enjoyment of everyday life, but also in your overall oral health.

Don’t let the pain of sensitivity get in the way. Say No to Ngilo and Yes to those Great Little Moments!

NESTLÉ 2015 EXPO PUSHES WELLNESS BREAKFAST HABIT

Nutrition Month in the country kicks off with the 2015 Nestlé Wellness Expo on July 4 and 5, 2015 at SM Megatrade Halls 1-3. focusing on the importance of a healthy breakfast in achieving personal wellness.

The annual Wellness Expo, now on its seventh year, is a colorful, dynamic celebration of wellness that expects to draw more than 30,000 visitors this year, and is a major component of NestlĂ©’s long-term advocacy to promote Nutrition, Health and Wellness (NHW) among Filipino families.

                                                        21 Mornings Brand Ambassadors

“Our mission is to nurture generations of Filipino families and to contribute to the development of a strong and prosperous nation, as we have done these last 104 years.

We are and will continue to be the Kasambuhay ng Pamilya at ng Sambayanang Pilipino (partner in life of families and the nation),” said NestlĂ© Philippines Chairman and CEO Suresh Narayanan.

The focus on eating a healthy breakfast, also the theme of NestlĂ© Philippines’ NHW advocacy this year, is driven by the important role the first meal of the day has in terms of nutrition, according to SVP and Director of Communication and Marketing Services Paolo Mercado.

From February to March this year, NestlĂ© deployed over 600 nutritionists to provide personalized nutrition counseling to more than 950,000 consumers in supermarkets and groceries nationwide. In the counseling sessions, NestlĂ© nutritionists explained to consumers the importance of a Wellness breakfast habit, built around the ‘My Wellness Plate’, a practical guide on how to eat right based on the ‘Pinggang Pinoy’ of the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (FNRI-DOST).
“NestlĂ©’s ‘My Wellness Plate’ teaches that half your plate should be ‘glow’ foods (fruits and vegetables) and the other half should be a combination of ‘go’ foods (carbohydrates) and ‘grow’ foods (proteins), accompanied by a healthy beverage. We recommend that the principle of ‘My Wellness Plate’ be followed in every meal, starting with breakfast, for one to be able to meet his or her nutritional needs,” Mr. Mercado said. To highlight the importance of breakfast to jumpstart your day, NestlĂ© is launching the 21 Mornings Program, a 21-day meal plan designed by NestlĂ© Philippines together with a panel of chefs and nutritionists to help you get started on a wellness breakfast habit. “It’s a ‘21 Mornings Program’ because it takes about 21 days to build a habit. However you choose to have your breakfast, whether it’s one you can easily prepare, or one you can eat on the go, or a full and hearty breakfast, we have a Wellness Breakfast Program for you,” NestlĂ© Corporate Wellness Head Leslie Go- Alcantara said. Consumers signing up for 21 Mornings Program are given a 21-day Breakfast Plan, Recipes with Nutrient Count, Wellness Tips and a Grocery Checklist to help them complete the program.
In support of the 21 Mornings Program is a 21-day breakfast sampling activity via the Wellness Breakfast Truck, which will visit selected venues to promote awareness about various breakfast options available through 21 Mornings. Brand ambassadors will invite consumers to visit the Wellness Breakfast Truck to learn about and sign up for the 21 Mornings Program, with the first 500 consumers per day getting a free breakfast and a Nestlé beverage. The Wellness Breakfast Truck will also offer free nutritional consultation.

To sign up and know more about the Nestlé 21 Mornings Program, visit the Nestlé Choose

Wilkins the Safest Water

The importance of hydration

Experts recommend choosing quality safe drinking water for children

Water is essential to everyone, more so to a growing child. It helps maintain the balance of body fluids, which in turn improves digestion, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature. It also helps energize muscles and replaces fluids kids lose when sweating. This is why it’s very critical that moms use only clean and safe water for their little ones.
Last June 25, Wilkins gathered a select group of mothers from the media to share with them why water is essential to every mom and why it is necessary for children to drink only clean water.
Guest speaker and renowned pediatrician Dr. Sally Gatchalian says “Eighty percent of all illness in the developing world is water related. For instance, unsafe drinking water, combined with lack of sanitation and poor hygiene, risks your child to diarrheal diseases. That’s nearly 1.7 billion cases recorded globally every year, making it the leading cause of malnutrition among children under 5 years old.”
She adds that a significant proportion of diarrheal diseases can be easily prevented through safe drinking water. Wilkins Distilled Water, Mom’s Most Trusted Water Brand and prescribed by pediatricians, is a vital part of Mom’s Circle of Trust. Owned by The Coca-Cola Company, Wilkins follows an international quality control system and uses only state-of-the-art equipment in packing and sealing its products to ensure clean and safe quality water.
Arnel Cabungcal, ASEAN Quality, Environment & Safety Director of The Coca-Cola Company, says distillation involves boiling water until it becomes vapor before condensing it back into water. This ensures that what you get is 100% clean and pure water.
“But unlike other distilled water processes, Wilkins Distilled undergoes an extra purifying step called reverse osmosis. This takes Wilkins Distilled water to another level of safety and quality. Reverse osmosis dissolves inorganic solids, like salts, and removes impurities and contaminates from the water,” he adds.
Wilkins understands that safe drinking water is only one of the many challenges and uncertainties moms face in raising a child in today’s unsafe world.
“In this world where everyone claims to be trustworthy, moms may have a difficult time knowing who she can truly trust. That’s why Wilkins is providing mothers everywhere with trusted concern through expert information, relevant advice & tips, and real-life experiences, which they can learn and share through the Wilkins Circle of Trust,” says Criselle Pascual, Stills Category Group Brand Manager of Coca-Cola Philippines.
Keeping children hydrated is not a one-woman job. Moms would need a lot of hands for this task. Good thing they have a Circle of Trust – moms’ most trusted support group that ensures the safety and health of their little ones, even when mom is not around. That includes making sure that the kids are getting enough to drink. Moms get that assurance from grandparents, siblings, the best friend, yaya, pediatricians, OB/GYNS, teachers, and even trusted products.

Let your Circle of Trust grow along with your child’s future. Like the Wilkins Distilled Facebook page today.

Good News to MEDICARD holders

Allergy tests: When to get them

Feeling nauseous and itchy all over your body after eating shellfish? Can't stop sneezing when cleaning your room? You could be allergic to certain substances. The best way to find out if you have allergies is to see your allergologist.

"Allergy testing can determine what substances trigger your allergic response. A detailed medical history and a thorough physical exam give you precise information about your allergy concerns and how you can best manage them," says Dr. Nicky Montoya, president of MediCard Philippines.

Some types of allergies are easy to determine because symptoms appear upon contact or ingestion of the allergen, like allergy and dust, which results in successive sneezing. However, certain types of allergies are harder to diagnose and can trigger fatal symptoms. Seek emergency treatment if you experience symptoms of anaphylaxis, a serious allergic reaction that is potentially life-threatening. Its warning signs include swollen throat or a lump in your throat that makes breathing difficult, rapid pulse, lightheadedness, loss of consciousness, and severe drop in your blood pressure.

An allergist or a doctor who specializes in allergies may be prompted to conduct an allergy test if you report various symptoms after exposure to certain substances, including skin itchiness, watery eyes, nasal congestion, wheezing, chest congestion, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and swelling of the face or other parts of the body.

Types of allergy tests

Allergy testing can be performed in a variety of ways. One of the fastest and most proven ways is skin allergy testing, which studies your body's reactions to suspected allergens by introducing them through your skin. It includes skin prick test, which lets a drop of an allergen solution penetrate your skin through scratches or needle pricks; intradermal test, which directly injects the allergen solution into your skin; and skin patch test, where a patch containing allergen is taped to your skin for 24 to 72 hours to determine contact dermatitis.

If you have a medical condition that may interfere with skin testing, your allergist may perform blood allergy testing as an alternative. One of these tests is enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA or EIA), which measures the level of immunoglobulin E or IgE in your blood. People who have allergies typically have higher IgE levels.

For suspected food and medication allergies, you may be asked to take the allergy challenge test, where you inhale or orally take a very small amount of allergen under your doctor's supervision.

Safety precautions to take
Always make sure to see an allergist for allergy testing to get an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan. Licensed allergists also use allergen extracts or vaccines that are approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Avoid unsafe and unproven allergy tests. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) has identified a list of allergy testing methods that are ineffective and may lead to inappropriate diagnosis and treatment. These include applied kinesiology, which links allergy to your muscle strength or weakness; cytotoxic testing, which determines your food allergy based on the reaction of your blood cells from blood samples that are placed on a glass slide coated with food allergens; skin titration, which places varying amounts of allergens on the surface of your skin; urine autoinjection, which injects a small amount of your urine into your skin; and sublingual provocation and neutralization testing, which places allergens under your tongue.

MediCard has 12 free-standing clinics located in key cities nationwide that offer consultations, diagnostic tests and specialty medical services for young and adult patients. Visit www.medicardphils.com for more information.

Paracetamol CALPOL: Trusted by Moms

PARACETAMOL (CALPOL): MOM’S TRUSTED PARTNER IN PROVIDING GINHAWA NA MAASAHAN FOR THEIR KIDS

Being a Homeschool Mom, Hands -on Mom and Ofw Mom for more than how many years is an experience that made me tough in making decisions and dealing with sickness in the family. Whenever fever strikes them I am so affected and really bring them to the doctor. But most of the time I really have emergency kit with paracetamol, betadine, alcohol and other stuff I'll need. But the really weird thing this that I always carry around a thermometer in my bag. It may sound funny thinking I am not a nurse but it's true. Until now I carry around, maybe because I want to be prepared anytime to check the health of my kids.

As a hands on mother of my two almost grown up kids, health has always been my priority.

Whenever a child is down with fever or any pain, there is only one thing on a mom’s mind: ginhawa.
For me, there is only one brand that i trust whenever my kids are down with fever. Paracetamol Calpol.
Calpol product shot
Calpol Go Ginhawa Movement

There was a Q&A wherein we where able to ask and clarify some facts and myth about fever.answered by
Dr. Sally Gatchalian, a pediatrician at Manila Doctors.

Facts like:

* Fever is our friend because it is our body’s natural response to fight off diseases.
*Fever starts at 38 degrees Celsius.
*Using alcohol (when inhaled) when giving sponge baths can cause coma. This is caught my attention beacuse i have been doing this until now.
It's a privilege to be invited  to this event because I can get the first hand information right away easily share it.

With the science-driven expertise of Paracetamol (Calpol®), moms are assured that their children receive mommy-approved soothing relief.

As a celebration and commitment to mothers, Paracetamol (Calpol®) launches the Go Ginhawa Mom Movement, a community of moms who advocate providing only the best care for their children.
Moms can now easily connect with other Go Ginhawa Moms and be updated with tips on how to give “ginhawa na maaasahan”. Moms will have access to educational videos and blogs to help them manage their children’s fever.
Aside from this, Ginhawa Moms will be first to be informed of exciting promos from Paracetamol (Calpol®). They will also get the chance to win fever management tools that they can use to help give ginhawa to their kids from fever. Go Ginhawa Moms promises to equip moms with the right products, proper knowledge and the right tools to help bring relief and ginhawa to their children.
Paracetamol (Calpol®) has also named its three Go Ginhawa Moms — actress Jolina Magdangal Escueta, blogger Jackie Go, and TV host and news personality Suzi Entrata-Abrera, all hands-on mothers who always put their children first.
Calpol Go Ginhawa Moms
 #Go Ginhawa Moms

First-time mom Jolina is a very hands-on mom, who seeks only the best for her one-year-old son Pele. She says: ’I am a hands-on mom, I even bring him to work so I try to do everything for Pele, and that includes making sure he gets the best medicine when needed.” She also shares how worried she was when Pele fell ill and had his first fever experience. “He just had fever, I didn’t know it was like that. It was hard, I almost cried because he was so weak. And I’m not used to seeing him like that.” Having a doctor-recommended solution she can trust was key to Pele’s recovery.

As a mother of two, Jackie says that motherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to her. “My children have made my heart more grateful than ever. They are my teachers and they have made me realize that life is a constant process of learning. Motherhood has made me a better person,” she says. That’s why it is important for Jackie to find instant relief for her kids Gabbie, 5, and Juro, 2 when they exposed to sickness. She says, “Now that my kids are interacting with other children, they’ve become more prone to contracting viruses and getting sick. I need something that will help them regain their happy, healthy selves fast so they can go back to enjoying their childhood.”

Expert mom Suzi, also talks about how being a mother has made her more selfless. She says: “My focus is no longer about myself. It’s now caring about my kids, and my husband as well,” Suzi says.  She takes care of daughters Leona (11 years old), Jade (10 years old), and Nella (9 years old) as she hosts the talk show Full Time Moms.

Suzi finds that older children like hers can be picky with medicine flavors. “Taste never used to be an issue but now that they have their own preferences, my daughters will only take what they like. I’m glad Paracetamol (Calpol®) has yummy flavors to choose from and I don’t need to force them to take medicine when they’re sick,” she says.

Diabetamil New Product Endorser Mr. Gary V.

GARY VALENCIANO FOR DIABETAMIL

Nothing can stop Mr. Pure Energy Gary V. from enjoying life and trying new adventure. He is the new product endorser of Diabetamil since He has diabetes since he was a child. To my curiosity I asked him who among their children have acquired the same sickness? And so far he told them that Paolo and Gab sometimes sometimes experienced hypoglycemia. It was and awareness for me the difference and risk of hyperglycemia.

The International Diabetes Foundation has reported that the Philippines has been named as one the world's emerging diabetes hotspot having treated 3.2 million cases in 2014 alone.

In its simplest terms, diabetes is a lifelong chronic condition that affects the body's ability to use the energy found in food. For non-diabetics, the sugar and carbohydrates in the food are transformed into glucose, which the cells absorb in the bloodstream with the help of a hormone called insulin. Diabetics do not produce or do not have enough insulin in the body and therefore cannot absorb the glucose, which creates a build-up in the blood and often leads to more serious illnesses.

As this is seen as a very serious disease, there is a mindset that people living with diabetes lead very restricted lives. This is a misconception that Gary Valenciano is very familiar with, but this has not discouraged him from becoming the success that he is.

Gary was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was just fourteen years old and was told by his doctors that he would not live past the age of forty. Thirty-seven years after his diagnosis and more than 90,000 insulin injections later, Gary has never been more active in both his personal and professional life.  The artist, performer, athlete and family man's strong resolve to constantly defeat the disease comes after his worst hypoglycemic attack in 2005, which almost claimed his life.  Ten years after that fateful event, he is now complication free and has been called a living miracle by many doctors.

How does he do it? His outlook is one of great resolve. "I'm living a life with diabetes but I won't let it stop me", he has said in a 2009 interview with Ces Drilon.  He believes that with proper management of the disease, it allows him to live a rich, dynamic life. This multi-awarded performer shares that religiously doing exercise, careful observation of his blood sugar, taking the right medication and having a proper diet helps him in his miraculous journey in dealing with diabetes.

A diet that includes DiabetaMil is one that he lives by. This reduced calorie, sugar-free Cereal and Non-Cereal drink contain vitamins, minerals and protein specially formulated for people with diabetes. It is enriched with Chromium Picolinate and Dietary Fiber, is high in Calcium and has a Low Glycemic (GI) Value.

The mineral Chromium Picolinate found in the drink can aid in both glucose and insulin metabolism by breaking down the fats, protein and cholesterol.  Dr. Lanny Lestiani, a Medical Nutritionist at the University of Indonesia, testifies that ‘chromium showed its potential in improving insulin sensitivity; DiabetaMil enriched with chromium (250 mcg per serving) may be beneficial for diabetics to improve their glycemic control'. In addition, this nutritional drink also fulfills the Codex requirement as source of calcium, which can be beneficial in optimizing glucose metabolism.

The high fiber oat content in DiabetaMil Chocolate & Vanilla drinks, help lower bad cholesterol. It also contains a glycemic index (GI) value level of 30.5 which helps reduce overall blood glucose level.

Several nutritionists have confirmed the benefits of including DiabetaMil to a diabetic's daily balanced diet. "The usage of non-sugar sweetening agents (sucralose and acesulfame K) to DiabetaMil may help diabetics reduce their blood glucose level", attests Dr. Widjaja Lukito, an associate professor of the Nutrition Department at the University of Indonesia. Because DiabetaMil is a reduced calorie meal substitute, it ‘can help diabetics control their body weight', endorses Ayu Dwi Irianti, a Nutrition Coordinator at one of Jakarta's premier hospitals.

Aside from the multi-flavored nutritional drinks, DiabetaMil also offers low-calorie and sugar-free cookies suitable for diabetics. Snacks have an important role in the daily diet as they help keep blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible.

DiabetaMil has a delicious lineup of cereal (Vanilla and Chocolate flavors) & non-cereal drinks (Moccachinno flavor) and cookies (Nutty Chocolate and Vanilla Dried Fruit flavors) that allows one a healthy and nutritious meal without sacrificing its taste. Just like Gary, DiabetaMil believes that there are DiabetaMillion ways to enjoy life.  So don't let diabetes stop you from enjoying life!

DiabetaMil is available in all leading supermarkets, groceries and drugstores.
